Galacto-oligosaccharide 57% Syrup is a natural functional oligosaccharide with zero added sucrose or glucose. Made from non-GMO bovine whey or lactose, it undergoes enzymatic conversion, refining, and concentration. The active ingredient galacto-oligosaccharide content is≥57% (solids basis). The core is a mixture of 1-4 galactose units linked byβ-glycosidic bonds. It is a clear, light yellow to light brown liquid (may be slightly turbid) and is easily miscible with water and liquid ingredients. It has a mild, slightly sweet taste (approximately 20%-30% of sucrose’s sweetness). It contains no free sugars and possesses both prebiotic and water-soluble dietary fiber properties, making it suitable for processing liquid and semi-liquid sugar-free and low-calorie products.
